Atlantic Mine, Mich. -- Jeffers varsity boys cross country team started off the 2024 season with a team win on their home course at the Kilpela Farm. Jeffers was paced by junior Landon Larson who, who finished second overall with a time of 18:08. Teammate Cameron Anderson finished fifth, while freshman brother Branson Anderson medaled in tenth place. Sophomore Tage Rajala finished 11th. The Jets scored 38 total points, followed by Houghton with 59. In the JV boys race Jeffer's Blake Heltunen finished in second place with a time of 20:25. Jeffers will race again next Thursday, September 5 at the Bill Fezzey Race, hosted by Houghton at the Michigan Tech Trails.
